THIS IS A GREAT FAN. I bought 2 based on the reviews and the sale. Straight out of the box it is recommended to run it until the battery dies and then charge it up. Both ran for 8 hours before running out of juice. They are powerful and quiet, along with a great light. Another fun feature is the center part come apart to put an aromatherapy pad for oils or repellent. It just twists to the left and pops off to put a pad, I will use lemon Eucalyptus to help repel bugs. I think this is a great gift for camping buddies, even though I bought to keep cool in case of power outages
